ENZO: This is Enzo F. Cesario with another edition of the Brandsplat video report. Ben.
BEN: How ya doin'?
ENZO: I'm doing good. How are you?
BEN: Good
ENZO: How was your April Fools?
BEN: It's getting better al the time.
ENZO: Um, so the votes are in. Our users sent in their votes for the best April Fool's thing on the web and Google won by a mile. Check this out, this is, if you haven't seen it already, Gmail Motion. It is a Gmail-based, kind of like the Knect for Gmail. You can write your gmails by moving.
BEN: Let's see it.
ENZO: Check out this clip. (Shows clip of Gmail Motion ad.) Awww, this is my favorite - Google. Two entries, this is a little more obscure, but, Google Translate for Animals. (show clip of Google App Translate for Animals.) I think NPR did this a couple of years ago where they did a story about a dog collar that translated dog's words. So, not as unique, but a good try. You know there are a lot of people at Google with a lot of free time on their hands.
BEN: It's good to see they have a sense of humor. Right?
ENZO: Yea. Here's our final story. Ben I want to talk to you a little bit about touching wood.
BEN: Uh, in public?
ENZO: That sounded terrible. It's not what you think. It's the latest effort by Docomo - is this Japan? What is this, Taiwan? Japan?
BEN: I have no idea.
ENZO: I don't know where it's coming from because I can't read this language. But, it's a very cool site. I think Honda did something like this years ago. Kind of the same idea where, an it's action set in motion kinetically, sort of like dominos….
BEN: It's Japanese I think.
ENZO: That took you a long time, what were you doing, looking it up on the inter-webs? Anyway, here's a little clip - enjoy. (Shows clip of touch wood video.) So that was for the Touch Wood. I don’t know if I would have called it Touch Wood.
BEN: I think it doesn't translate well.
ENZO: Yea it doesn't translate well.
BEN: But it looks good.
ENZO: It looks great. It looks like it's made out of wood.
BEN: You think that's the whole point?
ENZO: Yeah. This is Enzo F. Cesario - see ya next time.
