ENZO: This is Enzo F. Cesario with another edition of the Brandsplat video report. Ben, happy 40th.
BEN: Oh, that's right. 40th video.
ENZO: This is our 40th video. God. I can remember our first one. We've had kids since then. Gone to college.
BEN: Yeah.
ENZO: Yeah. Anyway, big news this week, Google Instant was all over the news – all over the news. If you don't know what Google Instant is, it's a faster way to search on Google. As if you needed a faster way. Here's a little clip from Jonathan Effrat who's the Product Manager. (He shows YouTube clip Introducing Google Instant.) In related news, Facebook apparently passes Google in time spent on their property. Do you see a correlation here? Google Instant you save time, so you're on it less, so you can be on Facebook more. That's the kind of investigative reporting you're going to get here at Brandsplat. That's what 40 episodes do. (He and Ben laugh.)
Onto other news... you know I always like looking at the Android market. News this week is that mobile market shares for Android is taking a bite out of Apple's ios, meaning that mobile applications that are using the Android platform are on the rise. Check out this chart and it shows the market share going up for Android and going down for Apple. Some people are predicting that within a year that Android will surpass the ios for Apple. Pretty interesting news. So don't dismiss my Android. I like my Android.
And then finally, this is a really cool little commercial. This is in celebration of Apple. This is an iPad app commercial for Newsday. I think it's pretty funny. It's a good reason to... maybe some people are giving up their newspapers, maybe you shouldn't. Check this out. (He shows the YouTube clip Get the Newsday iPad Application.) That was funny. That was good.
BEN: That was very funny.
ENZO: This is Enzo F. Cesario, and for the 40th time I can say, “See you next time.”
