more Video Reports

ENZO: This is Enzo F. Cesario with another edition of the Brandsplat video report. Ben, I'm cold. It's winter. It's like 72 here in L.A.

BEN: The studio is chilly today.

ENZO: 72. My god! How are you? How've you been?

BEN: I've been good.

ENZO: Good. I want to talk a little bit about bad breath today.

BEN: Are you trying to tell me something?

ENZO: Mmm hmm. Orabrush – a little company, they just got two and half million bucks in funding – did something really cool. Instead of, you know, releasing a press release like you used to do, they made this quirky little video. They have this character that they use, who's quite the dirty little tongue. Ora brush is a tongue cleaner. What do they call those scraper things? Check this out. This is kind of funny. (He shows YouTube clip “Filthy Rich Tongue [week 30]”) That is one dirty dirty tongue. (He laughs.)

BEN: I like seeing body parts working. It's good to see it.

ENZO: Yeah. I mean, that's always a crowd pleaser. Get a body part... make it a mascot. Just be careful. So they did this on YouTube. And speaking of YouTube... YouTube is a great platform to release information on and get people excited. So, I want to talk a little bit about a video this week that hit 7.8 million in a little over a week. Check this out. This is X-men, a Marvel property: beautiful, beautiful.

BEN: The reboot.

ENZO: It's the reboot. Check this out. Yeah. Nice. (He shows YouTube clip “X-Men: First Class.) God, I love Marvel! I mean, whenever they put something out it's just...

BEN: They put a little Kennedy-cool.

ENZO: Yeah. Really. I'm gonna see that. I'm chomping at the bit. Finally, last on the list is this article in the New York Times Bits section – Technology section – where they're talking about the New York Academy of Art and how they were banned from Facebook for some questionable drawings. How does Facebook know that you have questionable drawings on your site? Do they have some guy searching, scouring every single Facebook account?

BEN: I don't know. It's bizarre.

ENZO: I see one. There's a drawing. I gotcha! (They both laugh.) This is the image. We're going to show it here because we don't care. We don't have scruples.

BEN: We're without scruples?

ENZO: I...

BEN: We're scrupless?

ENZO: We fired scruples.

BEN: Did we? (They both laugh.)

ENZO: Yeah.

BEN: Well, we had to cut somewhere.

ENZO: He was too expensive. Anyway, an interesting debate happening between Facebook and the New York Academy of Art. Check it out here. This is the site. This is their blogspot right here: newyorkacademyofart.blogspot.com if you want to read up on what they're going through.

BEN: Nice way to make traffic: pick a fight with Facebook.

ENZO: Yeah. It is.

BEN: Yeah.

ENZO: I thought you'd come back with a funnier... (They both laugh.) This is Enzo F. Cesario. See you next time.
