This is Enzo F. Cesario with the Brandsplat Video Report and we're at an OMMA event. I'm here with Rob Schwartz who is a digital strategist. Rob, what is a simple, easy thing that clients can do to drive traffic to their website?
Rob: Well, a simple engagement-driving strategy, one that costs no money and can get results is something I'll call the "Engagement Piggyback".
Enzo: What's that?
Rob: Simply put - you have a website. You're a small, local business like construction, or you have a hair salon and you're using the website to get your name out that you do something well, you have a competency and of course you give out your contact info. Up the ante with web engagement by linking to and spotlighting a touch point, like a Web App.
Enzo: Do you have an example, maybe one that a specific business could use?
Rob: For example, say you're a decorator and you've discovered that Sherwin Williams has an app called Color Snap. This app lets you go out and take a picture and match the color, get paint recommendations, and actually come up with ideas for a room. You could include a case study on your website, demonstrating your technology prowess. You would also be able to give that technology a link so people who are visiting your site have something useful to show for it.
Enzo: Would you have to SEO for that or how would that help?
Rob: By doing this you're going to promote traffic because people will share this knowledge - that you are a resource. And this will up your SEM and SEO strategy naturally. It's really seamless on that level.
Enzo: Thanks Rob. Again this is Enzo F. Cesario with the Brandsplat Video Report. See you next time.
