more Video Reports

Hi. This is Enzo F. Cesario with another edition of the Brandsplat Video Report. I'm here today with Ben who's behind the camera. Why don't you say something?

Ben: Something.

Enzo: There you go. All right. Today I want to talk about a couple of cool Twitter clients that can help you manage your Twitter if you're a business. The first one is Hootsuite (hootsuite.com). What's neat about Hootsuite is -- by the way, Hootsuite is "The professional Twitter client"; professional, I like that; please, if you're not a professional do not try this at home; this is just for professionals -- So what's cool about this is let's say you have multiple Twitter accounts and you've got a brand with a bunch of different people tweeting for you, you can manage all that with just a click of a button. It's a very, very cool and powerful application. You can also -- which is nice -- track statistics of individual tweets as well as doing an overall snapshot of how you're doing. I think that's a very powerful tool.

Another really powerful tool is you can automate when you want the tweets to go out. So let's say you have six things you want to say throughout the day and you want to say them a couple of different times; you can say I want this to go out and noon and seven. You can do that, and it's all automated. Very neat. Make sure you still have a human being behind it though. That's pretty important because you want to be able to talk to people, communicate back and forth.

All right. The other one is Monitter (monitter.com), and what's really neat about this is you can track what people are saying on Twitter based on location. So, you put your zip code in and you select a mileage radius and some keywords of what you want to track. Let's say you want to track your own restaurant, what people are saying about your restaurant within a ten-mile radius. You can do that with this thing. Very powerful; very cool. I like this a lot, and I'm using it to find out what Ben's saying about me when I'm not looking.

Ben: It's not good.

Enzo: And finally, I want to talk about online promotions. A couple of weeks back I did something, General Mills was doing an effort called "goldengrant.com." I'm not going to talk about it here, but I'm going to talk about the fact that I actually went on and entered… and guess what… I won!

Ben: No way!

Enzo: I did. Check out what I won. Check this out. I'm not kidding. And by the way, I don't work for the company, and I'm not plugging the company, but this is what it came in. (He holds up a big yellow box marked "Stimulus Package.") I got a really cool certificate. And I got some of this. (He holds up some golden tinsel.) I don't know, what is this called?

Ben: Tinsel?

Enzo: Tinsel spaghetti. And that's not even the best part. The best part is… look at this… twelve delicious boxes of Golden Grahams cereal. (Here, Ben reaches out and takes the box of Golden Grahams that Enzo was holding.) Dude, what's going on?

Ben: My cut.

Enzo: What?! Oh, man, that sucks. So, anyway, promotions are fun. And they're even more fun when you win, and I won! And that's all I wanted to say. Thank you.

Ben: Congratulations.

Enzo: Thanks, Ben. Now give me my box back.

Thanks for joining. See you next time. (Ben hands Enzo back his box of Golden Grahams.) Yesssss!
