Hi. This is Enzo F. Cesario with another edition of the Brandsplat Video Report. This week the iPad is already out. Ben, did you get one?

BEN (behind the camera): Not yet. I'm waiting to see how yours works.

ENZO: I didn't get one. But I did drive by the Pasadena store on Friday, and look at this line (he shows a video depicting no line in front of the Apple Store). When the iPod came out I thought it was cool, but didn't know how cool it was going to be until iTunes came out, and how those two fit with each other. So with the iPad, what's the other juju that Apple is going to come out with? I'm going to wait and see. I still don't get it. I don't understand what's so great about it. I don't know; maybe the juju is coming so to speak. Anyway, so what's going on this week? I want to take a look at a couple of interesting marketing pieces online. One is oldspice.com. I think that they do a fantastic job of modernizing this brand. (Ben starts whistling the old Old Spice theme music.) Alright Ben. Ben's an old man, so he wears Old Spice, don't you Ben.

BEN: Yes I do.

ENZO: I am too. I'm wearing it... I bathe in it. Anyway, Old Spice makes a great “man freshener,” and they make a whole slew of products. I think they do an excellent, excellent job of engaging with their customers. If you check out this part of the site, “swaggerize your wallet” – I think it's over, but you can check out some videos they got people to do. Really, really fun stuff. They paid the winners of the best videos in specific categories. Check this out. (He shows a cool video of dominoes falling, displaying different Old Spice messages.) I also want to talk about a new movie that's coming out and their marketing. It's called “Kick-Ass.” If you go to YouTube, on their YouTube channel, any ordinary person can win big with Kick-Ass. What you do is... Why don't I let them tell it? (He shows a video describing how you can win prizes by making a costume, coming up with a name, and then making a video for a superhero.) If you go to that site and check out the “Subscribe Now” information down there, I think they're doing something innovative: they're giving away T-shirts to 10 random subscribers. So they're getting people to not only engage with the brand, but to subscribe to the channel so that they can follow them on YouTube. I think that's pretty sweet. Anyway, so, get your leotards out... Ben are you going to wear a full-body leotard?

BEN: Just the bottom half.

ENZO: (laughs) Just the bottom half! What superhero are you going to call yourself?

BEN: I'll be “Bottom-Half Man.”
