more Video Reports

Hi. This is Enzo F. Cesario with another edition of the Brandsplat Video Report. I'm here today with Ben who's behind the camera. How's it going Ben?

BEN: Good.

ENZO: I want to talk to you today about if you are a business and you have competition and you want to stick it to them. A good way to do that is to do a short little commercial. And here's one that a big company is doing - Sony Playstation. They have their spokesperson Kevin Butler, who's actually coming to us from the future, actually last November I think. These are funny kind of tongue-in-cheek commercials about their new controller and how much more dynamic it is. So Sony is stepping into the motion controller game. Obviously Nintendo is a big player there and also Microsoft is coming out with something where you don't even have a controller, it's just your body. So when you move -- Ben are you following me? We don't have the technology. If we had the technology, you'd be able to follow me.

BEN: Steadicam's coming next week.

ENZO: Anyway, a really funny part of this commercial is boxers don't hit like this…nenenenene. I'll cut to the original it's funnier. (PlayStation clip) And also for a slam on Microsoft - cut to this video. (PlayStation clip) Anyway, funny stuff and a good way to get your competition and get people aware that you are a player in the game in a very fast way.

Another thing I want to talk about is the popularity of Facebook and how powerful it can be, and how quickly you can make a name for yourself. For example, Annabelle Park, a 41-year-old Washington-area documentary filmmaker came up with a smart idea to combat the tea party. She got sick of seeing people with tea bags hanging from their hats all the time, and said that's not me. So she created her own party called the coffee party, which is a very funny take -- but it has also become very serious. They have their own website; their Facebook page has almost 200,000 members. They're actually organizing and it's becoming serious, serious business. So check that out. If you want to use Facebook, and you do it the right way, it can be very powerful.

And lastly I have an entertaining little tidbit for the end. I just love the Dos Equis guy. What do you think of the Dos Equis guy, Ben?

BEN: He's pretty cool.

ENZO: Yeah, the most interesting man in the world. But do you see that there is a similarity between him and what they've got going on at chucknorrisfacts.com? Do you see that? Like the most interesting man in the world does this… Chuck Norris does this.

BEN: Steal from the best.

ENZO: Steal from the best, man. That's a good thing to know if you're in a business… or even if you're not in a business. Steal from the best. Who said that, Picasso? Someone like that, right?

BEN: Ben Porter.

ENZO: Ben. Anyway, here's a little clip. I'm gonna show this to you. Funny. (Dos Equis clip)

Anyway, this is Enzo F. Cesario, thanks for joining us, with Ben behind camera. We'll see you next time.
